NARSAD The National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression (NARSAD) represents the unified commitment for the support of research by the members of the country's largest mental health organizations: The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), The National Mental Health Association (NMHA) and The National Depressive and Manic Depressive Association (NDMDA), our founders; and by our thousands of supporters. In eight years, NARSAD has awarded over $35 million to fund 657 grants to 397 scientists in 86 universities and medical research institutions. NARSAD aims to raise $10 million annually so that research can and will provide better treatments of and eventually cures for mental illness.
